Hello,
I can't figure this out as I installed the pc suite onto my new laptop running on Windows XP Pro but it won't detect my P800's sync station. Can anyone tell me where I've done wrong as I don't have any problem with my aprtner's laptop. Cheers.

I know it can sound really stupid answer but try another usb port. (It worked for a friend of mine, BUT, with xp).

yeah. USB ports on XP do seem to behave strangely. I can sync my ipaq on one port one day and the next day it won't sync via that port but it will sync via the second port. Then the next day same story!
Its the one think that bugs me and I can find no explanation for it.

Well...I've tried that but it won't work either. Apart from that, I have only got 2 usb ports on my laptop which one of them is always occupied by the mouse.

What about (only wondering if you have not tried before) if you uninstall the software. Unplug the usb port, Install the software without the usb port plugged and after that, restart winxp pro, after that plug in the usb (and pray while you say "I L O V E M I C R O S O F T")
I mean install first the software and after the station.

I really appreciate your thoughts on this issue. Unfortunately, that's what I did to install the software first and then plug in the usb P800 cradle. Nevertheless, I will try your suggestion on restart Win XP Pro follows by plug in the cradle and then uninstall pc suite and repeat the installation if it still don't work. Thank you!

@Vamp
1. Unplug the syncstation/phone etc.
2. Uninstall all PCSuite (and all Ericsson communication) software.
3. Download PCSuite v1.5.1 (if you don't already have it)
4. Uninstall all USB drivers, and reboot (USB stuff will be auto-detected and USB drivers reinstalled)
5. Connect your syncstation/phone etc.
6. Install the PCSuite (disarming any firewalls etc.)
7. ....cross fingers!
