I have to admit though, that the P900 does pose a problem if it is too similar to the P800. If that is the case then I don't really see the point in buying the damned thing, except maybe to be swank.

I'm a hypocrite, so sue me. Seriously though, I really havn't made my mind up totally, it changes day to day. I really do want to buy the P900, but common sense tells me that if it is too similar to the P900 then why bother? Then again, I've never listened to common sense before, why start a bad habit now?
