I need to access my page written for WAP. But I need to enter
http://some.isp.com/~nlho/..../ . The trouble is I still can't find the key tilde (~) in the phone. Anyone can tell me how I can type this?

hmmm. no that symbol does not exist and there seems to be no way to do it. I would suggest creating a wap page yourself with that link in it from your pc and then once you have navigated to it you can save the address in the phone

It's really annoying and I just can't understand why some keys are missing from the T610. Like the Tilde and the { and } and others... The Tilde is especially useful for web and wapsites. I can't see the logic. There's got to be a way.

if there was a way it would be in the symbol list. Its not there so my earlier suggestion would seem the easiest and quickest. Once you have an address saved in the phone with a tilde you can use that to setup others.

That's all well and good and your suggestion about the bookmark is a very sensible one indeed. I guess I was referring in general to the missing symbols like { which we were discussing in another thread. Again, your solution there sounds like a good one (altho Im having trouble executing it) but Im just wondering how these things could just not exist in the phone in terms of software.

you can try a trick that is used on t68 phones.
find a way to send an sms with a tilde in your phone. with t9 activated, add the character into your t9 dictionary. you can now easily use the character by selecting it from your dictionary.

I tried that when researching this but when entering a wap address you don't get the ability to use T9 or get words from "my words"

Very strange, on my T610, pressing "1" seven times takes me right to "~" (in "Enter Address" dialog)
