I want to plug my P800 into the cradle in the morning, rapidly download the day's news, and have it with me for the rest of the day. Does anyone know of an AvantGo-type application that would support this, or perhaps how to make Opera do this?

There's AvantGo for the Series 60 OS, but it clearly lists Nokia phones and not the P800. Am I missing something?

Opera can browse a directory structure on the C or D drives, thus off-line web cachers should work. I now want to explore the possibility of using a web cacher to download my news pages daily. I'll then copy the directory over to my P800 for later browsing. Does anyone have any expeirence on selecting a caching programme that:

Strips out graphics

Drops large files

Allows you to define the domain range and depth of caching (I think thy all do this)

IDEALLY cleans up the files to make them small-browser firendly (like AvantGo's subscription service does)

Maybe even the ability to write web structure into a pdf format (compact yet navigable). I'm guessing that only Adobe would do this.

Maybe even cleans up frames (Opera for P800 is BAD at handling a wide left frame - right pane just goes to 10 pixels wide!!!)

Surely we ALL feel this is a damn useful thing?

This may be an idea, to try mobipocket web companion, as though its a reader for your P800, there are subscription services avaliable to download news, sport, stocks ect daily for free. Well worth checking it out, I never miss a BBC news update in the morning now!
