When I first got my p800 a few months ago nobody seemed to answer this question....
Anyway I am on Orange France and use Orange GPRS (set up with SE site's auto conifg)
So I download programs off the web and it seems that I cannot do things like update catalog. Or connect to msn off my p800. I cannot download things off my phone at all. I have master reset the phone multiple times to no avail. I have full gprs with oragne so wahts the problem????
My p800 can connect to the web but cant download anything to sum up.
Wit Appforge no updating catalog
With JavaMSN no connection.
When I try to download dirty movies ( : P ) just kidding but I mean movies it doesnt work!

Knowing Orange, they usually have 2 APNs, one for WAP and one for everything else (OrangeInternet).
For some reason, the integrated P800 browser can use the WAP APN to browse the internet. This is unusual - Opera for example, cannot do it.
I've never had any joy downloading anything using the WAP APN (unless it's over WAP).
Try using the other APN if there is one - if not, try setting one up using SE like you did before (there's probably more than one option).

I wild thought - in the UK Organge has one setting for GPRS WAP and another for full internet. Does this ring a bell?

Try the Internet one.

In the uk you can use the wap apn for the internet but with a 250k limit on download size. Not big enough for dirty movies! also you cant stream live video.

what a surprise it still dont work! oooh how i love the company i work for!!
may well be a question for the chimps at level 3 support on 156! they tend to help,
except when it comes to making my iPaq work through my p800 on the net!! they aint got a clue on that!!

took me 3 months to get orange to tell me the settings to get internet via PAYG and another month for them to tell me how to make D/L's bigger than 250k
just threaten to burn their car or summit. That worked for me.
