I don't know if this has been posted yet.
On the CNet website it says that from Sept 24th Yahoo! Are going to ban all third party applications from accessing Yahoo! Messenger. Microsoft will do the same with MSN on the 6th of October. So no more MSN from our P800's for us then? What about all thoughs people who bought JavaMSN? Does anyone know how this will effect P800 users with Instant Messenger applications?

if you look at trillian (www.trillian.cc), they have developed a patch to bypass these upgrades. So why could'nt the software developers for the p800 do so?

Screw MSN and Yahoo. They are stuffing up my multi-client IM program. Why can't they just realise that none of them can capture all the customers, and not even close to a majority. So let's just all cooperate and compete on quality of their individual client software.

They alwiz bypass those blocks
Anyway..... I think it's a shame, both on MSN and on Yahoo.... so many ppl use their services thru 3rd party sw... I doubt it's a wise decision

If they do, the bypass doesn't have to be on the JAVA client. They only have to change their proxy server... Though, I am sure Microsoft is going to take steps to insure that it can not be done.
...or does javaMSN access MSN network directly? If it does, they would have to release an update for the client itself...

I received a email from microsoft about hotmail vulnerability they sent me some kind of patch to dont avoid to others (like odigo) acces to msngr. They really want to finish the fun grrrrr!
