im trying to set up the p800 as a GSM modem on my PC. i've disabled the fone connection software from monitoring COM10 (which is apparently the com port of the usb cradle) and i changed the p800 to MODEM CONNECT and set up the modem in control panel (choosing sony ericsson p800 serial modem) and created a DUN entry to use the modem but i get a port error!? can anyone see what i may have done wrong?

because the only other modems that were available to choose from the list were "p800 bluetooth modem" and "p800 IR modem"!! should it be something else?

This happened to me, for some reason I could only connect to Vodafone as an ISP. I used the details from the wap connection settings on the phone to fill out the dial-up connection info on the PC and I could get connected. If I tried using another ISP it just didn't work.
This may be the problem if it's not what you've done already. I also managed to connect via GPRS, had the connected message on the PC saying I was connected at 112kbps or whatever it was but internet explorer couldn't find any connection. Don't know what was happening there but if anyone's got any ideas I'd be grateful.
