> Orange GPRS charges

I'm considering switching from Vodafone to Orange on their EQ Voda200 tariff but have had conflicting info regarding GPRS charges. What are Oranges charges, also does the access pack cover GPRS or just access to Oranges wap pages?

Hmmm I beg to differ.
The Access Pack (now called Open Access) is restricted to WAP pages but not just those from Orange.
You can use a WAP browser to visit any WAP site using Open Access but you may NOT use it for email or HTML based pages
The charge is 4gbp (3.40gbp ex VAT) per month

Not sure bout charges now. Sorry. Email connects using popgprs apn is orangeinternet. Orange phone support helped me set it up

I suspected it was too good to be true to have GPRS usage for email etc for £4 a month.

That confirms it then - you are NOT using the WAP apn for email. Therefore there should be charges. The only way I can think of that you are not getting charged is if you signed up for the free email offer a couple of months ago. If not - the charges should be there somewhere.

It is fairly clear from Orange. As I said, the orangewap APN can ONLY be used from a WAP browser, the orangeinternet APN is used for everything else

No solution for e-mail though, you need to pay for that - but if it's not a significant amount of data then it's no biggie.
I have 'open access' for browsing, and a 1MB GPRS bundle for my e-mail. That does me fine.
