Ive recently ended my contract with vodafone due to a dispute as my P800 handset wudnt work with the network.
Anyway... Im looking to start a new contract with a new operator OTHER than vodafone. I normally pay about £30 - £35 per month for a X-net tariff. Whats the best tariff out there at the moment do u think??
I was gonna have a look at the new three network. Anyone kno if this is any good or if indeed it works well with the P800 (even tho the handset should not be the issue).
All replies appreciated,

There are a lot of problems still with "3". People are complainging about the loss of calls and not being able to connect etc.
The best, I think is o2 250 @£35 per month
free voicemail,
250Xnet calls
50txt
and the extra call charges are chepaer than the other networks
and if you need extra txt and media messages you can get bolt-on which are the BEST value of all the other networks eg, o2 400txt @£16 when orange give you 360txt for £24. a big difference.
Also make sure you get the most expensive phone free, that is possible with your contract and then you can sell it off or use as a second phone.

Or you could go the o2-online way and get on top of that 500 free txt and 500 free WAP minutes and some free GPRS data. Their tariff ranges are more limited

So three are having teething problems? Coz they do 500mins for £25 a month - seems such a bargain. I'll be using it in the london area plus i dont want the shitty video calling. Just to use it as a standard GSM network.
Thanks for your replies.

At
http://www.mobileshop.co.uk a P800 is £40 (yes £40) on a £50 tariff on Orange, which you need to keep for 4 months. So you could get a new P800 for £40 as long as you change to a lower tariff after 4 months and you could sell your current on ebay!

Orange will match any other networks tariffs except 3 (shame about that) but it does works very well with the P800, i'm currently on the freetime 750, which gives you 750 minutes free for the month (but they don't rollover) however you can use them monday - friday 7:00pm to 7:00am and all day weekends plus all day bank holidays you can even use your free minute for the internet and wap via dial up, but unfortunately not email and its not cross network either but i dont care too much about that because you also get 50 free text per month and free voicemail all this for £13.99 a month. but my free 30mb per month mobile email/internet access runs out later this month, 3 months gone by already WOW.

Ive noticed that 3 will be no good for me anyway due to the data restrictions theyve got. They dont support full internet access over GPRS.
However I noticed T-mobile do 300 anytime X-net mins for £29 / month plus it would be £3.50 for 50 txts and £5 for 3MB GPRS. Seems like the best offer for me. Or do u think Orange could match this?
