Hi!

Where are the developers from here???

The new P900 has a "Communicorder" application which allows smooth video with sound as long as memory lasts and much more. THIS IS NOT A JOKE! So, it should be possible to read those app from the P900 ROM and customize it, so that it will run on a P800!

What do you think? If this were possible, we all would have what we ever wanted!!!

regards,
Oliver

@Arfi

Do you know when it will be released? What makes you sure that it will be far better? Are you Phillips developer or are you a beta tester?

The P810 use the philips software.. and a gsm is still not a videocamera, it's not made for that, it's pure gadget to show off

@blue

Have you ever thought about situations where you wished to habe a camcorder with you and you didn't? A real camcorder is quite big (in comparison to a mobile) and I know nobody who daily carrys his camcorder with him. But every person carrys a mobile! Did you get it? That's the use of a built in camcorder!!!

Dear Blue

I was shocked to read your comments. some one such as your self should be aware of the esato policy questions such as this are justified furthermore you are not allowed to express your negative opinion as it will upset others. You must however be as helpful as possible.

I apologise if i have offended you with this post. if you wouldl ike me to edit it in any way please nitify me and i will.

In regards to the brilliantly constructed question which shows a lot of thought and understanding of electronical technology i must stress that the proposal is unlikeley due to the differnace in software and parts. The phillips update is what will do what we need. Undoubtbly SE would have locks or tricks on p810 software to stio people from doing such things. Another question may be the actual parts will be incompatible with the soft ware.

Those are my thoughts hpeflully i havent upset you if i have i apologise please pm me and i will take appropriate action. Thank you.

there's nothing to stop softwaie
running on a'p810' running on
a p800..
but surely if u can port from
p810 to p800 then why has no developer taken use of application porting of camera progs from s60 to UiQ?
as most new 'Smart Phones' will have the OS of choice Symbian surely..we're looking at this happening more &more?
lm posting from my p800 so hope i've got my point across!
thanx
