ello (*sigh*) my phones broken and i could really do with some advice at this late hour so i can get some sleep on the basis that there is a little bit of hope.

I have been struggling to backup my details now for months and its been really peeing me off..... then the ultimate has just happened - it yellow triangled so i turned it off and hey presto it wont get any friggin further than the sunset screen ...... talk about kick a man when hes down (well woman in this case). Im not to upset as far as the phone is concerned as i know it wont be a problem to get replaced ..... what greaves me the most is that i havent got a decent backup for months and i have spent the last three or so hours ammending bits and bobs on my phone..... i use it for business and i believe i have just lost all my (swear) contacts

please if anyone can help or recommend a way to save my details and stop me feeling suicidal, i would be forever grateful.

ive searched for such a problem but with no luck please help,

ill be up watching the board in hope

thankyou
desperately seeking suu....... nicki x

finally someone who asks a sensible question--- you are very welcome to the boards

i do not personally know how i would get the contacts off the phone if it is totally unaccsessible, take the phone to a proper service centre where you can make sure that they get the contacts off it before they replace it! just my 0.02p

@bouger

Welcome and sorry to hear about your situation.

It may help other Esato people if you could say a bit more about your problem. Do you know how memory you had left (c: drive)? Have you tried to remove the battery for a few minutes and then re-insert it? I am sure someone will think of a good idea. Good luck.

(A note for the future - Esato has lots of expert that may have been able to help with the back-up issue you had.)

I'm no expert. But maybe someone could correct me here. Last week, think it was tuesday, they was a post with a question like this. Anyone remember the name of it? Someone might have replied and the answer will be there. Might be wrong tho. This message was posted from a T300

not much more to say i was adding a few contacts, but mainly deleting texts, emails, photos and the odd contact.

didnt have the low memory problem up until i started deleting stuff ... the more i deleted the more it flashed up ..... this is the point where i started my loosing battle. i checked the memory details and sure enough the more i deleted the more the memory being used in each section seemed to increase ??? *what?*

and then it yellow'd and the rest is history

hope that helps

I pressed the wrong bloody button. Thats what you get when you allow phone calls while on Wap. I'm still trying to remember the name of that post. I'm sure i have a reply to it. Something about it been the same as microsoft's blue screen on pc's. This message was posted from a T300

bouger,
we definitely need more info to help u out. have u been trying to do a backup with bluetooth, infrared or usb cabe. know that the only way to do a backup u need to do it with the usb cable. u also would need MS Outlook. u would need to set up oulook with an email address and everything, then try doing a backup...this should be done with no problem.
what do u get when u turn on ur P? can u access ur data?
if i were u for now, try to find someone that has a SE phone or even a P800 and try to send all ur contact to ur friend's phone(via bluetooth) then do a master reset on ur P, then retransfer the data(contact) back to ur fone.
hope this helped
