> NEW Nokia 3650 won't work because of t-mobile SIM card?
Bookmark topic
Hi, I own a nokia 3650 that I have bought brand new from kuwait. I live in the U.S. and just got a line with T-Mobile. I put the SIM card from T-Mobile into the phone but for some reason the phone would not load completly and will freeze up with the screen and keypad lights on. pressing buttons will not do anything. when I stick a friends AT&T SIM card in, it works fine... Whats going on? I would appreciate any help on this matter, I am annoyed since I really want to use my phone. the phone also had a SIM card from kuwait in it and worked perfectly.
please post any thoughts on what could be the problem and how I could fix it, thanks!

Is your SIM card an old one, if yes: change it, it's because new mobile phones needs new SIM cards of 5volts ( correct me if i'm wrong I don't remember it exactly )

check your 3650's firmware. use *#0000# from the main screen. i bet anything that it is version 2.50. that version has problems with t-mobile EONS SIMS and you won't be able to use it with those unless you upgrade it to 2.54 or 3.16, or request t-mobile to give you schluemberger (sorry don't know the spelling) SIM. but the t-mobile EONS will not work with v2.50.
