I just bought a 128MB Mem Stick Duo yesterday.

Loaded it up with 5 OGGs, and one 60MB cartoon.

It was working perfectly this afternoon, and this evening, I found that my phone could not detect it. I rebooted my phone, and my phone took about like 10 seconds to light up from when I press the Power button, and it took a very long time to boot up the phone, and the entire phone was very laggy.

I took out the 128MB, and the phone worked fine, with my 16MB duo. I used file manager to check the contents of my 128MB, and it said my disk was corrupted, and I reformated it.

Now it's working alright, for now. Anyone has the same problem as me?

Also, the phone lights up slower while using the 128MB than the 16MB, anyone also experiencing the same problem?

How did you format the 128MB MSDuo - you *must* do it in the phone for trouble-free operation...

Yep I did it on the phone. The first time it failed, then the 2nd time it worked.

Same problem of speed.... more memory = slower P800
But no other problems

Wouldn't it be worse with 256? Maybe that's why the P800 can only support up to 128? Just a guess.

I have not experienced any performance (speed) related problems since I stuck in my 128MB MSDuo. I can only imagine that a) your 128MB is defective, or b) your P800 is poorly performing and needs some maintenance (i.e. deletion of all files on c:\ that are unused or old; making sure that 2MB+ is always free; maybe even backup-format-restore of c:\ is needed.) What firmware-set are you using? R1D could be responsible....

Stven.

I'm on the latest... R2F.

Anyways, I'm more concerned on my 128MB being corrupted. Is it... normal? I just bought it yesterday.

128 Duo should not mean a slower p800 that guys right. You should definiteley reformat your phone and the ms duo start from fresh.
