I only have XTNDConnect v4.9 full. I wondered if I could D/L a newer version anywhere or if there was other software that could take the place of this...

You don't mention what phone you're talking about so I cannot give you a specific link

so just go to the global support area and type in the model of your phone and then click that model from the list and you will be taken to the global support page for that phone. On there near the bottom will be 'synchonisation' so click on that to see what the latest version is and download newer if needed.
