F&%$£$g Windows XP!!!
Foolish me had global Trashcan settings set to a maximum capacity of 10% of each hard drive... So when I.....accidentally (honest).....hit delete on my 'My Music' folder, containing 2-3GB of freshly ripped .OGG files.... XP had nowhere to put them...so deleted the lot!
Aaarrrgh!
The worst thing was, I was in the process of trying to back them all up!!!!!!!
Double-aaarrrgh!

If you have Norton Antivirus you can allways recover some of the files or use on of those apps which can recover deleted data and even if the hard drive was formatted

right click undo straight away would have solved the problem!
Also if your really bothered get your yellow pages and look up data recovery specilists and they may be able to help.

I would have thought so too. Best bet is what the others have already said, try and recover the lost data.

On XP all windows have a blue arrow which is kind of bent towards the left which will undo also righ clicking brings up several options one of them being Undo copy or Undo Delete or whatever dpeneding upon last action.
