I thought about that as well, so I checked one out, and none of the parts are made the same way the original is made. The plastic is thinner as a whole (blue parts especially), and the flip is made differently, although it seems like it might work, it doesen't. (At least not on my phone...) The grey parts is totally different from the real stuff, in fact the only thing that seems to be useable is the stylus.

I'm not paying like $10 for one stylus!

Maybe this will sound stupid, but i also wanted a dummy when the p800 came out

they did not sell any to me, cuase they told me some people use it for stealing the phone: goes like this...

A man has a dummy p800, he goed to the shop, he asks if he is allowed to see the p800, shopworker goes and gets one out of the box, if he does not pay attention the man changes the real p800 with the dummy and gives back the dummy to the shopworker and then immediately leaves...

thats been told to me, it has happened before...

Just whipped up some pics to show the differences of the parts that would fit:

http://www.home.no/jevel/P800/

If you look close at the battery covers, you see that the dummy one has a different texture on the inside. You will also see from the shots of the flips against the light that the dummy flip will not make the letters and numbers light up, as they are black paint, instead of transparent as the real thing.
