i used my p800 for ogg playing, its great, i got 40 songs on it, not 40 pop songs but 5 to 13 minutes long ones, and 2 simpsons movies and still got 25 mb left (128 duo). but using it for 4 or 5 hours the battary was empty. does mp3 players have the same problem?

MP3 player isnt so memory/processor hungry when running, so may conserve some battery, but then you wont get so many tunes on your MS.
If your using your phone mainly for .0gg files, consider switching off the back light, that kills the battery more than anything else in my opinion.

I am a new user/owner, but have you tried the "UnrealPlayer". I have version 1.3 and it works great...
Sorry if I have stated the obvious.

no.
You need to remember that ogg is heavily compressed, thus requiring more processing power, thus more battery life...

mini disc are meant to tbe the best. I know they have moving parts in them. but with a normal battery not the rechargeable my mini disc can last for about 1 month on 1 battery with about 2-3 hours a day

I think the problem lies with the MP4 video playback; I noticed *considerable* battery usage, compared with .OGG playback. So saying, I reckon I probably only get 4-5 hrs .OGG playback tops (which just abaout does me my daily commute!!)
