Bookmark topic
Hi,
I've got my P800 scheduled to check email every 15min. and it appears hit/miss whether it does it. It seems like it will work after it has been turned on for a while (couple of hours?) and then it stops. The only way to get it going again on schedule appears to be to cycle the power.
I suspect that perhaps some app I have installed may be disrupting it, but this is going to be a pain in the ass to debug since it takes 15min. to get any results.
Any insights or past experience by anyone here would be helpful.
Thanks,
- VR

Hi,
I've posted about the same problems several times, and so has a few other people. No one has replied to any of these, because I think no one has the answer.
The one I did get from SE is they said it "could" be fixed in a firmware update, but even then they are not sure?? (Great Customer support for a $700 phone...)

Have you tried resetting your phone to the out-of-box condition to see if this got it working again? I'm considering it but won't bother it this hasn't worked for others.
Thanks.

Hey, I see it's been a year since you posted this. Were you ever able to figure out why the P900 scheduled Email function did not work reliably? I have the exact same issues with mine. I have 3 pop accounts and sometimes they all work, sometimes none download emails and sometimes only of the three performs the scheduled download. Quite a pain. Sony Ericsson has no clue. This is obviously a bug in the phone and yet they will not admit to it.
Anyway, just wanted to know if you had found anything out.
There is, by the way, a comment in the On-Phone Help when you are in the messaging accounts section of Control Panel that is bizarre. It says "automatic Downloads will fail if your P900 is connected to an ISP other than the ISP defined in your Email account setup"
This IS the case for me and yet it sometimes works so go figure!
