I know you'll all tell me to search or read through the forums but I've done that and it's no help.
I'm having problems converting wav or mp3 to ogg. Ive downloaded the ogg codec but when I'm converting, the program shuts down and I get an error and I'm asked if I want to report the problem to Microsoft. I think this may be a problem with my windows or sommat but I'm not sure. Anyone else had the same problem??? and is there another option to convert mp3 or wav to ogg??

I'm using DB Poweramp converter. I've just installed Advanced MP3 Converter which doesn't have any errors but I when I try and transfer the converted file to my phone, im advised that the file type is not accepted. HELP!! All I want to do is play ogg files on my phone. If I get it sorted out, will I be able to use the ogg files as ringtones too??

Yes I've searched through the threads but I can't find anything that will help me. I am new to both the phone and the forum so I would appreciate a little bit of patience. I'm sure everybody who uses this forum was new once.

It definitely sounds like a problem with Windows itself. As Vermania said so eloquently, just uninstall and then reinstall the software, that should fix it. If that doesn't then make sure that your computer is fully updated, that it has all available patches, etc

Just copy the files, not to 'Audio', but to the 'Other' folder, as I'm told this works. Alternatively, you can rename the files .OGG > e.g. .WAV (permitted file type), copy them across to your phone, then rename them back, i.e. .WAV > .OGG.
However, word of advice - using the syncstation to copy files is a big no! no! The memory handling capabilities of the P800 are rubbish. Best get yourself a card reader (20 euros), where the transfer rates are 1000x better.
And on nother note, although I was a great fan of dbPowerAmp, I can strongly recommend CDex instead.
