hi guys, I've just got a T610, as soon as I got it I put in around 10 jpegs, each were 6k in size (i've read the "It lies" thread!) and it ran out of memory, I then deleted every image that came with it that I could, as well as evey ringtone & theme that I could so I could fit my pics on, I put on 20 pics all at a max of 6k and they take up 350k according to the phone (I know about the RAW files etc) and I think this is ridiculous, I went to my brother who got one at the same time & transferred all the photo's to his phone via bluetooth and his never ran out of space. What's happening?
it will only allow me to take 3 photo's with the camera before it runs out of space, i cannot delete anything else.
is it a faulty phone or are they all this bad?

Have you checked the memory status? Maybe you've got MMS templates and games eating up your memory. Pictures taken with the cam use up ~ 50kb (large size, pre R3B firmware) ... so you've less than 150kb free!? That can't be right if you've deleted as much as possible.. thanx for your reply

I have not added any templates or games.

I just think it's quite bad that it won't let me add more than 10 pics at 6k each when the phone's new (even though my brothers will), or let me take more than 3 photo's if I delete everything I can (mms templates, music, pictures etc), then add 20 of my own photo's at 6k each.

how can I check the version of my phone?
how can I update?
do i need to back anything up first?
how do i do that (i have infrared)?

will this make any difference?

1) Have you check what the memory status screen says about the memory.

2) DO a search here to find out how to find the current firmware version. Clue: > * and
3) You cannot upgrade the firmware yourself - it requires a service centre. It should be free within the first 12 months
