i find p800 to be very good with reception. I presume your son is tricking you and trying to get some revenge from when you abused him as a child. Take it bakc to where you got it if you believe the handset is faulty to obtain a new one.

As much I ahet it, I have to agree with Vermania - the P800 has the best reception of all the phones I've had (E/// T68, T39 and Nokia 5110).
Orange is notorious/infamous in the UK for covering 90% of the population... which doesn't mean 90% of the country - those muppets stuck inCumbria or Cornwall get little of no coverage!

Just to ensure we have some balance, I have to say even though I love my P800 my old Nokia (sorry guys) 6310i seemed to perform better as a phone (reception and ability to hold-on to a weak signal).
Also, I use O2, Orange and Vodafone with my P800 and I have found that Orange has the best coverage (not checked Cornwall though).

I am with Vodafone and have always had a really good signal at my home and in the our office [different area] compared to my husband on O2. That was when we both had Nokias. Since I have had a P800 hubby wins the signal contest by far but my fone is cooler!
