Is there any body that can tell me what communication software(s) do I have to adopt (without to use Outlook) in order to complete manage my T68i (write to/read from EMS, MMS, Pictures, ringtones ecc.) using the infrared port of my Compaq laptop ?

Only XTNDConnect (Sony Ericsson Communication Suite) needs Outlook. You can use all the other programs without it...
