The latest release of affix.sourceforge.net for Linux allows for sending of background images to T68. Works much much much better that the IrDA in my W2K notebook ...
For people who don't like the command line too much there is affix.sourceforge.net/afe - X front-end for the stack. Sending of a picture is just "few clicks away"
