you cannot lock the T610 with a password or pin number.

The only option you have is to turn the phone off and ensure you have a pin number on your sim when the phone is turned on.

Thats not safe, never use the pin code as a security measure for a person who will attempt to open your phone.

What masseur said was right...only turning the phone off will then prevent your brother from reading your messages but instead of having the pin code to be activated, use the security code. That way, no matter how many times he will attempt to open it, it wont get blocked.

its in the 'Settings', 'locks' turn off your 'SIM Lock' then choose 'on' for the protection in the the Phone Lock. Hope this helps.

I agree, I wish there was a feature to lock the keypad with a passcode. On my old Nokia, I could enable phone lock, turn the phone off then back on, and I could still answer calls - but I could not enter any menu's until the code was entered.

With SE phones, you can not even get to the standby screen without a passcode - it would be great if you could get to the standby screen but no further without the code.
