I just got a new T610 as an upgrade from o2 (business) and I think the phone has some problems.
I've read in some newsgroups about the powering up problem, I have this also. Does anyone know how to get it fixed? Software update? Handset replacement? For those of you who haven't come across this yet, it's when you can't turn the phone on! You press and hold the power-button and nothing happens! Sometimes 60% of the time you can't power the phone!
The other problem seems to be with the keypad. Often, when I am scrolling with the little joystick it gets stuck, for example when I'm scrolling down through contacts or the menu system, then it gets stuck and keeps scrolling in the direction I was moving, even without me touching anything. And it generally just seems slow and sluggish. Sometimes keys just stop working too, for example I might be editing a contact and if I try to press the "go back" button (bottom-left) or the "ok" button (top-left) it just wont respond, sometimes if I scoll down then back up again, then it comes back to life.
Anyone had any problems like this? Or got any suggestions? I'm a bit annoyed that I might have to send this back to o2, because I've been on the waiting list for ages, and I don't want to wait another 2 weeks for a new one!

I dont have the probs u have but then maybe its cuz i have the latest SW in my phone>.I never bought a Ericsson phone before cuz it was slow and slugish but now its all the difference in the world with the t610.The phone is fast as hell and when i input text on wap or sms doesnt fall behind>My point: The manufacture is really cheap and that is what i can see.They r made in china, the keypad is croocked( some of the buttons dont stay in the right possition, the aluminium face/plate is squeaking and the feel is really cheap.Maybe thats why u have all these problems>A new unit from a different lot should fix it.Its a good phone and i am VERY happy with it but i think that the manufacture on the T68i was better...
