I am considering either an mp3 player or fm radio for my T 68 and just wondered if any of you guys have either of these and your comments on either please.
Also I have a couple of questions :
Is the radio just scan and seek or can you program stations into a memory.
Is the storage on the mp3 player internal or can I increase the memory (smartmedia or compactflash)
Does the player come with the leads and software to transfer mp3 files to the players memory ?

THANKS

I have both the FM Radio and MP3 player, the FM radio quality is not really that great and it does not allow you to preset any stations, thus you have to scan everytime and it also does not show the frequency you are on.

The MP3 player on the other hand has much better sound quality and considering it is just a small add-on to the phone and you can have music on the go at the same time a handsfree set. The package includes a 32MB MMC card, parallel port MMC card reader and software. Personally I think Ericsson should have used a USB MMC card reader instead of a parallel as the transfer rate would be so much faster. As for the MMC card, you can always upgrade to a higher capacity which at the moment has only maximum of 64MB. Finally, if you're worried about drainage of the phone's battery, not to worry, both the FM radio and MP3 don't really use that much power.

Hi,

Is it possible to store e.g background pictures on the memory card? Or can you only load mp3's on it??

Thanks

I have both of them;

1. FM radio: bad quality, two earpieces, but mono sound, no memory for the stations

2. MP3: good q stereo sound, but the drivers are not really working with Win2000, XP, and the MMC card is very expensive compared to Flash or Smart.
BTW you can use to store pics, etc, but you cannot use it with the phone
