Nope can't be done you right. We all tried no one's ever sucessfully pulled it off a thread about 6months ago documented 16 peopels attempts to no avail. At the moment you can only get the odd clip through SE and some clips converted by big production companies who can afford to run the massive and powerfull system required for such tasks.

This thread seems to indicate success from PVauthor and a look at their site suggests their product can do it?

Just get a copy of MpegableX4live and you should have no problems.

I have even tested it on an old PII. OK

It is very do'able thats how we send client approvals to our clients. We edit in AVI and then convert to MP4,

Stay tuned and I shall write down how to do just a little busy at the moment

you can with moviemaker for the p800, it uses quicktime and converts anyfile except windows mida files
