Just got a Phone call from the SE Service Centre in Australia. Apparently there was a slight problem with the phone. A Fork-lift ran over it and it no longer works. But SE will be replacing it with a new P800 now thats service.

Yeah... SE i believe are pretty good in customer service. They replaced by T610 ( which was a week old ) with a brand new one when the phone hanged. No questions asked.
Even one of my friends had his P800 replaced with a new one when he had problems.
I dont know about their service in other countries, but Nokia in India sucks!! They dont easily replace your handset. SE is amazing far better.

I live in the UAE, I was one of the first people in the UAE who got the P800, I went to the Service Center to upgrade the software, and the phone had a bug of some sort that it 'rejected' the new software (R2F), I was informed, automaticlly, that my phone was replaced at zero cost!! And a new phone was issued to me with the new software installed and my new IMEI and my new warranty!!
Yes, SE is better off than Nokia in service, my friend once got a Nokia 5510, and it was still under warranty, but his MP3 player was screwed up, he got it fixed for AED 80 (around USD 20)!!!!!
What a scumbags....

wow great job... SE Netherlands wouldn't even get you a new keypad... even it broke down typing a sms! :S

It's really hard to say what is covered in warranty. But in general, warranty does not cover physical damage, which includes dropping the phone, throwing it against the wall or if a car ran over it. People who have gotten a replacement is probably they happened to talked to the right customer representative. In my experience, warranty is really up to the customer rep's descretion.
