I experience lagging and delay in the computer response whenever my cradle is connected AND as soon as I log on to the internet. This is evident whenever I move the mouse, I notice that the movement of the cursur is chappy.
Only way to stop this is to uncheck the USB connection under the phone link tab...
Can anyone help me? thanks

Kill the EMPWOR~1.EXE (EMPWorker) process. I have yet to igure out what this process is supposed to do - by backup and restores work just fine without it. Now you won;t get the 3 second delay when you start a new app, and maybe your other delays will get fixed too)\.

also download the latest version of pc suite from SE's website, seem to work better for me where lagging is concerened. Also you can disable the phone start up files in msconfig, so they wont load everytime you start your computer. Then when ever you click "my p800" the files will start up and you can do all you need to. Works for me fine...

U may have enabled the same com port for both ur modem and ur craddle, try assigning a different com port number or in ur phone monitor option in ur control panel try disabling the com port of ur modem(only enable the com port which ur craddle is using)

I am currently using the most recent pc suite from SE.
wollyka, isn't the com port automatically assigned? the cradle is assigned to com 3 which says USB.. com 1 and 2 says cable in the phone link properties

Kill it in taskmanager. Assuming you are using Windows XP just right click on the clock at the bottom right of your screen and select taskmanager. You will find a lst of applications currently running on your computer listed uner the 'Processes' tab. Select the ones you want to end and click 'End Task'. The taskmanager window can also be rought up using Ctrl+Alt+Dlt
