Guys,
As some of you may remember as I keep on asking silly questions about Voda customization, I still haven't been able to have the Sonyericsson server working (bad cable, bad com port speed, bad OS, bad hardware on comp, etc.)

I am going to London in November, and I was wondering if I'm not going to try to have it upgraded to latest firmware and de-vodaphoned here...
Still, I am a bit lost in London... so using the would not help me

So if you could give me info about the places where I can have it done (with global localization, like "near Piccadely", or "a few blocks near Buckingham palace"), it would be nice!
Most specifically, I keep hearing of Logosunlimited; are they easily accessible for aliens like me?

Thanks in advance.

OK,

Call CarphoneWarehouse on +44 8701 670 870, ask them for the location of a central London shop that can do the upgrade while you wait. They should be able to tell you this. You may need evidence that your phopne is less than 12 months old and the upgrade should be free. Some shop staff ask for this and some do not! Othewise the cost will be GBP30.

@vlam & pzboyz

Thanks for showing so much compassion.
Now I think I'm gonna cry

Any idea on where I can de-vodafone my T610?

The thing is that I don't know London at all (been there twice: once when I was 10 w. my parents, and the other on business two years ago...) So if I could be efficient and not lost, 'd be nice!..

Thanks anyway

Yes m8, go to West Kensington Station, take a left and you'll see a mobile phone shop, go there, or if not; then carry on down the road (North End Road), untill 3 blocks down, and you'll notice another mobile phone store. Both i think are able to unlock and get rid of the vodafone brandings (for sure the 2nd shop does).

If you do get "lost", ask one of the locals and someone shall be able to help, you may even bump into me.....

if you want the firmware updated, the 2nd store (mobileXchange i think), might be able to do it, if not, try Carphone Warehouse, theres loads of stores in London....... everywhere.....
