Does anybody know the specifications for making animated gif files to use as screensaver for the T68i?
Also, any idea for a freeware program anywhere?

Have a look at this one,..that should do it

Its not exactly freeware, but I've been using my version for a long time, you just have to say "i'll consider registration" when program opens.
Guess there would be some freeware programs on e.g. tucows.com.

Seems all GIF animator can do make screen saver on T68i, btw try Animator that come with Paint Shop Pro 6.01, since it has many transition effect that make screen saver more beautiful !

I'm wondering itf this is normal :
when I choose a personalized screen saver on my t68i, after a while it's displayed (.... cool for a screensaver !!) and then after a few seconds it goes to the clock thing. Is this supposed to happen ??
cheers

Yeah I think so.
I believe the digital-clock will always be there,..the screen-saver-part is only the first part (e.g. the original SE-logo going up and down), before switching to the clock.

It's like computers often the monitor first go in screensaver mode
and after a while it goes to powersave mode (black).
The reason

does it so quick most likely is to save power.
Sure it would be fun to be able to set the delay between screensaver animation and led off mode but I would prolly keep it pretty short
anyway since saving power is essantial when we are talking about a phone.

You're right ... just wanted to make sure this was a feature and not a bug. However this make the screensaver function quite unusefull.

Thib > yeah, this screensaver-thing is basically just for having fun, not very useful in "real life"

and it probably would "eat up" the battery, hehe.
