I am considering buyin a P800 as my next phone, largely because I want to be able to watch movies on a train. My Question is: When watching your divxs etc on the P800 is it possible to make them full screen and widescreen (ie with the phone on its side) or do you have to watch it in a smaller window with the phone straight up? Also does the lack of colour make it rubbish? Because I could always get an SPV instead, althouh its not as good, its cheaper...

yup you can use widescreen. But watching from a train, that'll most probably drain your battery good. Also, seems to be some glitches too watching movies on the P800. There usually is a delay between the film clip and the actual audio. I think it's more how the mp4 was created or something.

Note that divx:s themselves won't work, u have to convert them into a format more suitable for the P800.

thats definately encoding as i do not have any delays when i watch my video..

@bloyloy

Yes you will be able to watch the videos, but because of the processor that the p800 has, the videos jump a lot and are not smooth... you will also have to convert the videos to mp4 as that is the format supported by the P800,.

hope this answers your question

The lack of colors is not noticeable when watching videos in my opinion. Cartoons are the best types of movies to watch on the p800 in my opinion. Like futurama and simpsons. This message was posted from a WAP device

I think u have misunderstood this a little...the MP4 has it's own codec and the Div-X another...

2 different codecs...
