Hi,

I currently have a Nokia 6310i car kit installed. If i change the holder, is there anhy chance that this will work? I know it is a long shot!

It'd probably be possible, but I don't know where you'd get information about the connector pin-outs or voltages etc.

The microphone should work, so should the loudspeaker - the only thing which may not be so straightforward would be the stereo mute, of you use it. (Charging voltage may be different too)

But, without technical details of the kit and what the P800 cradle needs, it's impossible to say for sure...

I really really don't think so..... even Ericsson car kits for the R320, R380s, T68,... are not compatbile (software different, connection are the same) and they will NEVER work with a P800. Think about a Nokia carkit then...lollll

Best solution is to get a real BT carkit wich will allow you to use most of all the BTgsm.

I had the same problem with the same device.

First o all i have a non official nokia car kit but another brand.
This have a 6310 holder, microphone, and the box that include the whole circuit and the speaker.
On this car kit there is also an output for external speaker that i use to transfer the audio signal to my car stereo taht have line in (Kenwood Z828MP).
But this car kit doesn't support speaker mute.

It's little bit complicated to make the modify with voltage and pinout so i bought a cheap car power supply and also a cheap handset for p800.
I bought also the P800 holder and i done a simply modify to the speaker of the handset.
I cut it and i connect the cable to the line in (on the 6310 car kit circuit) and of cource before the speaker amplifier of this.
That means that you need basics on the electronics.

Now i have two microphones on the car (the mic of the cheap LUX (brand) handsfree is fantastic) and one car kit unit that is connected to the car stereo and i can hear everything on the loudspekers.

For your info the 1st pin is the mic , 2nd is the speaker and 7,8 pins are the analog ground on P800
