how could i add more melody and and picture on the insert item menu of SMS. "no more items" is always displayed. my saved tones and pictures doesnt appear on the list of insert item. i am hoping for your kind consideration. thank you

No its not an MMS.
when you are in the 「Write New」 of the SMS, press 「More」, you'll see the 「Insert Item」 Menu

that's the point behind MMS
so no wonder u cant add those
well, on the T610 I seem to be able to add them

For me..... only black and white pics and anims show up and only monophonic sounds. As I have no monophonic sounds at alll I get nothing there.
for coloured pics/anims or polyphonics you'd need to use MMS rather than EMS

yeah it sounds as though you don't have any EMS compatible sounds and pictures in your phone. Did you delete them all?

(the monophonic ones) same for b/w pictures... altho youi could try 'insert item' and then 'animations' coz I didn't think those could be deleted.

@ fijbert - Its not MMS. Dont get mixed up in those two. When in text message NOT picture message, even though you insert picture, melody ITS NOT MMS, its an enhanced SMS type, thats why its called EMS Enhanced Messaging Service feature. Pics here that can be added are those BW bitmap ones, nokia logo, pic msgs. Animated ones can also be inserted.
But when we talk about colored pics, then we call that MMS, because it supports media format files like gif, jpeg, midi etc.

I know the difference between EMS and MMS
when someone says "I cant put in a picture into an SMS"
what;s yr first reaction?
he is trying to put in a color picture (which consitutes it as MMS) into an SMS msg!

I figured he was talkin about the color pictures and polys
since it is HIS saved pictures (who honnestly uploads monos and B/W pix now-a-days?)
and I think that is what he was trying to insert
so yeah, that constitutes to MMS
but hey, once again, thx for clearing that up for me kieboy
as I only just now comprehend the difference
