Now i was just playing around with my T610, read some messages in my inbox and I saw this function, 'Print Via Bluetooth'...obiously, I think it will search for a BT capable printer and print your message, so I pressed this function (out of curiosity) then saw all my paired devices. I saw my friends' phone, a Nokia 3650. I sent her the message and asked If she got any messages from me. She said yes. I looked at it but it appeared like sending a 'note' to a Nokia 3650...it has all these codes and other stuff that you don't need, but what's important, the message was there.

Can anyone please try it from T610 to T610 or to any other SE BT phone? I'm hoping it would just forward the message as is (without codes). Then I could share all the funny jokes, quotes here in my phone to my friends w/o spending money for sending them text messages.Ü

Too bad the 3650 doesn't have that function.

the t68 has the same feature. i don't have a BT capable printer but when i "print" an SMS to my computer device, i get a file called sms.vmg. (this file gets overwritten every time you "print" an SMS.

below is an example of what it contains:
Quote:BEGIN:VMSG
VERSION:1.0
X-IRMC-TYPE:MSG
BEGIN:VENV
BEGIN:VBODY
sms sent to BT "printer"
END:VBODY
END:VENV
END:VMSG

i don't remember if the t39 has the same capability.

Anyone tried sending it form SE phone to SE phone? I want to know what will appear if a T610 sends it to another T610. Thanks

that's a form of bluejacking, you could print an sms, write a contact or even try a note if it'll work: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=15976&forum=16
I haven't got two SE phones sorry.

Yup bluejacking if ever, but thats not what I want to achieve. I want to know if the receiver will get my message as is...or will it have those useless codes also.

Dont worry I'll go to my friend later who has a T610 also...then we'll know.

Tried to print SMS to my PC via bluetooth I'm running WIDCOMM 1.3.2.7 when sending get the message on PC conneced to the "PIM item transfer" service. IT appears to send but cannot find anything in my bluetooth exchange folder, or a file on my system called "sms.vmg" any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Cheers

@ben.cook
i use the tecom drivers (v1.2.2.16) for my msi-6967 adapter (i never bothered to upgrade it to the latest drivers from msi).

the "sms.vmg" is stored in my shared directory (i think, because i use the same directory as my inbox directory)

Think I must be doing something wrong settings wise, as its not saving it anywhere on any of my hard disks? Hum?

It's saved in the Inbox in Outlook. It's unreadable though...
