> Gprs combined with Lan Internet on PC
Bookmark topic
Hi!
I was planning to combine my GPRS and LAN Internet connection on my PC. Combining my GPRS to my LAN Internet (PC) via Bluetooth.
Is this possible? If Yes then please explain how in detail.
Thanks!

expensive, stupid but indeed possible if you set up internet connection sharing to the connection that you use with the p800

Do you want to use both connections to connect to internet at once?

"Stupid and Why would I want to do that"
Well for the simple fact that on my PC LAN Internet Connection I get a download speed of 12 kb/sec only and with alot of packet losses. My GPRS provides a speed of 20kb/sec without any packet losses compared to my LAN Internet.
So a combination of both will boost my net speed to 32kb/sec! So incase my LAN konks of I still have a steady 20kb/sec connectivity to the NET via bluetooth.
So what do you say?

Yes, that's exactly what I want to do.
But the catch over here is that I want to combine my GPRS to my exsisting LAN Internet Connection on my PC. The GPRS connectivity will be done via Bluetooth and not the PC-to-Phone Data cable.
Thanks!

@oracle
On GPRS your top speed (current - if you a lucky) is 53.6 kbit/s (~6.7kb/s)...
theoretic top speed is 171.2 kbit/sec (~21,4kb/s) - but no network supports this (all 8 slots used for recieving with no errors)
...but, it is possible to do what you are asking.

Well, it's not simple.
You will need to set up 1 PC as a router (installing windows 2000 server on it will do...), configure both connections on it, and then configure it to use load balancing between the 2 routes. If you have never dealt with Windows server and network routing before, it may prove to be a very difficult task.
