Anyone know if there is a way to make suggestions to Sonyericsson for firmware upgrade ideas?

Do they read these forums or places? How do they know what people feel needs fixing?

I think if they really did take notice of anything here (or in those well known petitions) then we would have T9 in the P800, java in the T68i etc etc!

what have you got in mind?

Well of course there is the usual complaints from people that should be sorted.

1. Get rid of the damn annoying pre-rings when the phone rings.
2. Get rid of increasing ring always.
3. Make ringtones a lot louder.
4. Incorporate speakerphone. Seems easy to add. No hardware needed.
5. Make message tones customisable like ringtones.
6. And please please add re-occuring tasks and appointments
7. make up on joystick and right side button customisable
8. make coming out of power save mode not require one press. go straight to option
9. stronger vibration and different vibration type options.
10. add click sound to keypad. i know this can be done. there are click sounds in the service menu when testing the keypad.
11. Show status report for a few seconds longer. Better yet make the length customisable
12. add most used contacts to menu after choosing to send text message to reduce so many clicks. Also option to turn this on and off.
13. use joystick LED for missed calls, messages recieved etc.
14. Able to add some more common things on More menu from standby. Just freq used ones so not to make it too big. like vibration.

Some others i cant think of right now. But the signals when messages and calls are incoming need to be improved. It ruins it in a way for me. Cos most people have the phone right by them. Hear the bloody stupid little initial ring noise and have answered by the time the ringtone has got near full volume. Total waste of the great ringtone features. Just make them start loud straight out. The reasons for the increasing ring is stupid. And they need to be increased in volume more. I never missed so many calls with any other phone.

Great phone but would like to see the everyday usability features made more bearable and improved.

Do you's agree with my points?
