My Plantronics M3000 bluetotth headset works with my 610, however I think the 610 needs a firmware update to make it useful with the headset.
1. Bluetooth is disabled for other equipment while the headset is connected. The bluetooth logo disappears, you can forget to dial a number out of your BT handheld for example
2. Switching to the headset is tedious, to many menu steps:
- first turn on bluetooth (keeping it on all the time seriously shortens standby time)
- then find accessories to switch on the headset
3. When finally turned on (try to do step 2 while driving), the accessories menu inhibits stand by, so manually go back to a previous menu or the display stays on and again shortens standby time.
The plantronics itself is very useful: repeating the last number, mute, volume, answer, all work from 2 buttons on the headset.
Is it my plantronics or is it the 610 (firmware) that needs to improve?
