Right, I have finally given up trying to convert avi's to mp4's.
So can someone please give me a website where I can download episodes of southpark/simpsons/malcolm in the middle/anything that'll fit onto a 16mb duo.
I have tried ABSOLUTELY every option and setting available and still have not been able to convert a successful mp4.
Thanks guys

You think that one episode will fit in to your 16MSDUO?

1 episode would easily fit on - I have downloaded a couple from raven02.
Welsh, there are various problems. The main 1 being, when the conversion is complete all I get is crackling sound.
If I do manage to convert successfully, the smallest I can shrink the file down to is 32/33mb mp4 file from an original 40mb avi file.
Guess I may just have to wait for the 256 duo!

yeh, if u encode sound using low bitrate it will come out with lots of static...
using mpegable...
set audio bitrate to 48KBits/sec, mono.
leave sample rate as "same as input"
reduce total bitrate to 200KBits/sec
ure encoding should be ok with them settings..
