after heavy research, i found it to be 5%. is that 5% of the final price i paid for it?

also, does anyone know if i can classify the bluetooth headset in a different category?

forgot to add that im also importing it from america

that doesn't sound right mate, it should be 10% GST + a customs paperwork charge as far as I know and recall.

they usually base the cost on the stated value on the customs declaration the sender has to fill in.

really?!

hmmmm..i tot they only charge for the item that is being imported..in which i mean they dont charge GST

i went to customs a couple of days ago to pick up an MD player..and since it was classified as a CD player it was free..there wasnt anything stated about 10% GST..so in the end i didnt pay anything for customs

so atm im looking to pay an extra 5% of the final price of the item (which is a jabra bt200) no matter what..

Okay. I got my headset now but it came with the headset and the charger so customs let it go. But i have a new problem now! I think my charger is blown cuz i saw smoke coming out from there while charging the headset! The headset is from america. This message was posted from a T610

Did you use a voltage convertor? I think the US uses 100v and we use 220-240v. Hopefully no damange to your headset...

its a jabra bt200 headset..i think u tot i was getting a SE BT headset..

yeah the voltages are different so i needed a voltage converter..and the charger is gone so i cant use it no more..

when i was charging it using the US adaptor smoke only came out from the charger and fortunately none from the headset so its fine

i went to dick smiths and asked the guy and he just offered me a replacement one which gives a lower power so it will have to charge longer for it to have full battery but at least it will be safe

the headset is now working fine!! crackling problem tho with my T610 (R1L firmware) but i will now go search to see if i can fix it..

I had problems with my bluetooth. I moved from a Bluespoon Chameleon, to two HBH-60's and now I have completely given up and resorted to a wired handsfree.
