The little bits on the sides of my keypad have broken and whenever i press a key the wrong character comes up!- Is the keypad covered by warrenty? If not, where can i got a new one from in the UK.
Thanks in advance.

the keypad is indeed covered by warranty as mine stopped "flipping" properly last week - se tried to persuade me to buy one rather than sending it back to se as it would take a couple of weeks to repair but my local service centre repaired it without question in a day.

ive got a similar problem except nothing on my keypad is broken. whenever i press the menu key (top right hand button of my keypad), the menu doesnt display.instead characters like 9 and b and occasionally 7. This is really frustrating becuase in order to lock the phone I have to keep pressing the menu button until the menu finally appears (and sometimes it takes ages). I dont know whats wrong because i opened the keypad and tried to clean it and still get the same problem. has anybody else experienced a similar problem and has anybody successfully solved it? Please help. Also is this covered by warranty?

before anybody says use the search. I did and I found this thread the most suitable. please direct me to another thread if i missed it or didnt come up in the search.thanks in advance

@ Dheeraj
Which phone?
& before anyone says "look at his avatar, it's obviously that" firstly not necessarily & second they don't show on HTML Light anyway!!
Also what do u mean by the sides of it? Is this due to damage or use? If it is obviously damage the the warranty won't cover it

@ dekesh
A temporary solution to help u is press jogdial towards u as that acts the same as the menu key.
Or remove the flip, it's so much better without it!

Is it only the one button that misfunctions?
You should probably visit a service centre or call SE & see what they're prepared to do.

That appears to be nothing to do with this thread, try starting a dedicated thread for you question
