> T616 Problem

I have a T616 with Cingular here in Southern California. During the summer, my friends and I went on a road trip from San Diego, California to Seattle, Washington. During the entire time that we were in the state of Oregon, I had no reception. While my friends with either a T68i or 3390's had reception. They were roaming, but they had reception nonetheless.
Now I just got back from a trip to Hawaii and my phone didn't work there at all either. My mom had her 3390 and she was roaming. I know that Cingular doesn't have any reception at Hawaii, but I think for having a "world" phone, you would think that the T616 would work everywhere I take it. I'm really disappointed with it. I might go back to my 8890.
Sorry about the long post, but does anybody experience the same problem with their T616 or know how to fix the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, I did try the GSM Network option to find a new network, and that didn't help either.
