Is it true that when it comes to GPRS, that the T68i has one time slot more. According to the Sony-Ericsson Helpdesk in Norway it supports an overall greater speed when it comes to GPRS than the T68m.

Then it is not right to say that the T68m and T68i is the same phone (after upgrading the T68m software).

No idea, the specs look exactly the same. Maybe I'm missing something?

Yep its true.

T68i has 4+1

T68m has 3+1

Wap is also different, T68m has 1.2.1. and T68i has 2.0.
I dont know if this will/can be "changed" in the upgrade ????

SOftware WILL be the same as T68i, BUT now I actually have the T68i, i have to admit that there IS and always will be a difference! The buttons, joystick and feel it MUCH better!!! Screen is nicer too!!!

T68m still rules as well though

Maybe they ment that it supported faster GPRS than the T68 does now (before the upgrade)??
That's my guess.. Or the other alternative would be that they didn't know what they were talking about..

But the best way to find out is to wait until w.20 and see..

The man I spoke with at the SE HelpDesk said that the T68m WILL support Wap 2.0 and xHtml after the upgrade. But the speed of the GPRS would not be the same. So I'm pretty sure about that, but I'm looking for facts from Sony Ericsson.

Escobar > I believe you're right. Wap and xhtml should be a "software-thing",..but I dont think that goes for timeslots (gprs).

@jh67
On page 26 in http://www.ericsson.com/mobilityworld/developerszonedown/
downloads/docs/t68I/t68i_t68ie_wp_r1a.pdf
it says that T68i supports 3+1 timeslots

On page 15
http://www.ericsson.com/mobilityworld/developerszonedown/downloads/docs/t68/whitepaper_T68_R1A.pdf
it says that T68 supports 3+1

So no differences the twobetween the two in supporting up-& download speed.

Well, according to the man at the SE HelpDesk the T68i supports higher speed per. time-slot than the the T68m. And he meant that there was 4-1 time-slots. Which might be wrong!?
