Guys,

I am comtemplating to sale my P800 for Treo 600. Anyone have the same plan too?

What I don't like about my P800:
1. The Form - too creaky (very fragile feel)
2. Poor Memory Handling - Battery life affected by the memory in-used. The more memory not being released, the more battery being drained
3. Graffity is not sensitive enough-always have to erase character

@ nomad_my i totally agreed with all the negative points which you raised in your post, however i think that you should consider all the good points about this highly sophisticated piece of equipment, sure it isnt perfect but no device is.
as far as i am concerned there is nothing currently available that can touch it... well at least until the P900 is released, id forget about the treo.

my p800 is not creaky what is a treo it sounds cheap. What is the problem with memory exspansion??? you can buy several memory sticks!

incidently dixons wont take back my memory stick because i opened the packaging. How was i to know p800 took smalle memory sticks not regular ones. Waste of £400

@Nomad

How dare you post such a thing here!!!

Outrageous!!!

Go and wash your mouth out!! NOW!!!

But seriously though, some the complaints you make are easily addressed by software and free software too.

The Form = why go to the extreme of buying a Treo? Why not buy the P900 which from the reviews I have read is better built and comes with an improved operating system.

Memory release = just get QFileManager. It's free

Graffiti not sensitive enough = I think that is something you will come to master if you are patient. I for one am not and hate it. I prefer to use the virtual keyboard. But about two weeks ago I was talking to a sales rep in a mobile phone shop and was using his P800. He used the graffiti hand recognition. When I saw him do it, I was like "holy fukk!!" He did it so damn fast, if you didnt know better you would swear he was writing in an ordinary "joined up" way. I was really impressed.

Another option it to tolerate the phone for now and wait for the next P Series phone which we are informed is due out next summer.

Treo 600 will be truly amazing. Its palm based with a full qwerty keyboard + Grafitti, Color 65k screen. SDIO etc etc. I used to be an early owner of Treo180, which wasnt that great on a/c of battery life plus a few other glitches. But reading up on the Treo600, it'll be amzing. Cant wait to get it. I had a P800, but wasnt too impressed with it. It can never be a true PDA replacement unless SE majorly redesign the sync s/ware to allow third party conduits to interact with it. check http://www.handspring.com

1. Jot. I use a screen protector in my P800. Makes much easier to scribble on the screen. I also use Personal Jotter 2 which makes it quicker to compile emails and SMS.

2. Treo has no BT and its resolution is 160X160.

3. Blazer web browser is no match for Opera.

4. Watch-out for that ugly ariel.

5. No multi-tasking. Which means it re-starts each app when it is needed and shuts it down when you switch.

Also, the P800 after a year is still in Expansys.com's top 10 sellers - millions of people can't be wrong!

If it was a proper device like the P800 it would feature built in bt, no need for silly plug-in crap, and it would work fine with your exsisting bt headset, unfortunately for the Treo if it has no bt function... well that says it all, leave it well alone. This message was posted from a P800

blue tooth is sooooo cool i want sony to bring out a Bluetooth MS card for use on p800 so we can use blue tooth devices.

SE didnt incorporate bluetooth in t0 p800 due to financial constrains according to my mate dave.
