> Help to stop P900 scam on eBay
Bookmark topic
People please help me.
I have been emailing eBay on
ukwebform@ebay.com about the following obvious scams for P900 phones (the "traders" are using pictures from Esato):
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3354104532&category=29023
and
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3052579644&category=41349
I would appreciate your support in lobbying eBay to remove these enteries before too many new eBay users lose money.
Many thanks

They are not going to answer straight away. When I've emailed them they have always replied after a couple of days. Then again if ebay can sell a bucket of bristol water...........

Would you buy a phone you never heard of / seen before? No! Without Esato, I'd have never heard of \"P900\"... So I'd also recognize the known pics in eBay auctions. I hope people don't go acting stupid and loose their money.

You'd be amazed at the amount of stupid things people will do. Look at that bucket of water thing. I know it was for charity but some people were bidding stupid amounts.

Anyway, i don't think there's much we can do about this... Our only weapon is emailing eBay, as Jah suggested...

The second link interests me since that person has a good ebay rating with lots of recent activity. Normally if someones ebay account has been taken over by scammers there has usually been little activity in the last 6 months nd these sort of accounts are easy to target since the account holder is not regularly watching his account.
The other thought that occurs to me is there could be some preproduction models out there like there was for the P800. Alot of those were sold on ebay prior to official release.

@masseur
I asked the sellers, both, to send me a pictures of the actual products and not pictures taken from Esato and my-symbian forums. And guess what - no response!
Many thanks for all your help. I heard about so many people being scamed for P800s in the past - it is very sad as most people don't need to lose 250/300GBP or similar.

Yeah, the other thing that makes it look kind of shady is the amount of phones they say they are holding. One 50 the other 10...
The one with the good rating, if you look at the previously sold items, they have pretty much nothing to do with phones. A lot of fancy glass stuff...
