Is it possible to use my T610 with my SE usb cable to access the internet on my pc. And if so how do you go about doing it? I tried adding my T610 as a modem via control panel but when I came to dial up it said that basicaly the modem wasn't there, but my T610 was connected to the cable.
Before you start moaning at me for not using the search function I have and I couldn't find anything relevant to connecting via usb, it was all bluetooth which at the moment I don't have. Looks like it might be work investing in a usb BT adapter tho.

You will need to install the modem driver for cable (included with Communication Suite)
I don't remember the exact procedure, but at one point in time (in Dial-up Wizard), you will get a box asking what kind of modem the connection should use. Your choices will be Cable, IR, and bluetooth. You will have to choose Cable/(or install cable modem).
...anyhow, the proceedure is exactly the same as installing a bluetooth modem, you just substitute cable instead of bluetooth..

I just tried it, mainly because I have crappy dialup as my main internet connection and I was curious how fast I could get it through my T610. Ouch tho it costs about 50p for like one webpage. As any body esle tried this? What settings do you use? I tried Orange GPRS and HSCD and they were both about 50p per webpage, does anyone else who is on orange know if there is a cheaper option?

Its not exactly that cheap is it tho, I mean if it was up to me I'd probally have broadband. But compared to dialup its about double the price and trying to explain to rents that the only positive thing is that its faster than dialup isnt really a stong for them to get boradband instead of dialup.

Pipex have some pretty good deals at the moment - just over £20 a month I think and they give you modem etc. for free.

Yea I think ntl is in my area, but they don't have the best of reputations do they, they are like 15 million in debt or something I heard from somewhere and a mate of mine has their internet and tv and this is no joke when it crashed u got a sort of screen and they had spelt their name NLT. I mean if they can't spell their own name the right way around, they can't be that brilliant!
