i'm really convinced that the t68i is the phone to buy, specially now that its price has gone down... However, i'm a little bit bothered by the fact that some users have experienced the phone shutting down by itself and many other bugs, i guess the best solution is to get the latest software version of the phone, can somebody help me with that? thanks... and how do i check the latest version when i buy the phone? thanks again...

you'll probably notice the bugs (if there are any) within 28 days of purchase, i noticed that my T68i kept resatrting within 28 days but i was on holiday, so i advise don't get your phone if you wont be able to return it within 28 days, but other than it kept resatrtin i have had no other problems or found any bugs yet (touch wood) and i have had my phone since August (even though it's spent most of it's time in repair for the resarting bug
), and if you do notice a problem don't wait take it back straight away (this is waht i also did wrong i could have made the 28 days if i took it back within th 3 days of being back off holiday but i thought i'd wait till the week end thus they didn't replace my phone but got it sent to be repaired and that was a lot of hassel for me. If you follow this you shouldn't have any problems, and avoid repair if you can.

It might be a mechanical problem there.U know, the battery movin`.Take a look at the inside of a T610, they put a polyuretanic foam to keep it steady.Do the same and u`ll see the result...IF it`s a mechanical problem.
PS: If it keeps on restarting, just disable ur PIN code so ur phone registers into network automaticly.This way, u wont notice it and the phone will work properly ( a restart takes 20 secs mostly).

T68i is still a good phone & my experience after 14 months of ownership was that it was the best phone i have had, with NO serious problems.

When it restarts it just switches off like the battery has just come off and switches back on again and after i enter the pin the please wait comes up. The battery is fixed on alright and it wouldn't start up if the battery came off and back on again. It could be a lousey connection. I've herd someone elsel had this problem as well. It seems to be alright since i took it in for repair but i don't want any other issuses with repairing it, since it was alot of hassel for me.

ok . maybe the time my son droped it inside a mc donals large coke

My t68i has never really had any problems! The only one I can think of is when I was using infrared to access the internet on my Handheld PC were it did the re-start thing that others decribe where it wants the pin.....only ever did it once tho!?
I run the R8 software (see sig) and it seems fine...before I upgraded the SW it had R2C! Never really gave me any trouble with that SW either!
Just keep the 'lil bugger away from harmful things like drinks and fire etc
and it should be just fine
