i already have an unlocked t68i i purchased from expansys and i bought a tmobile sim to work with the phone, but i want to get a t610. should i:
1. get an unlocked t610 from expansys and use the sim, costing me around 350 or watever their price is
or
2. tmobile customer service says i dont need to anything to my contract and theres no obligation, but since i alreayd have a sim, i can get a t-mobile t610 for 150 bux. is there any difference between using a tmobile t610 locked to my sim and using an unliocked t610 with my tmobile sim, other than the obvious that i cant use any other sims in the locked phone?
the tmobile phone is only 150 as opposed to the 350 through expansys, about how much would it be to get athe t610 unlocked if i wanted to in teh future anyways? and what would the difference be on the phone between the locked and unlocked?
thx

Coolio, although I'm not the cellphone guru like many users on here i.e. Massuer

Since there price difference is around 200 dollars, I unlock phones for 35. You make the decision.

I'm pretty sure Tmob would unlock it and have the ability to unlock it.
but.....
whether its free. I highly doubt that it is.
I know that the service provider I work for does it for 200.

for what reason would tmobile want to unlock their customers phones?

They have the option of unlocking customers phones incase they do want to unlock it.
But they charge an unreasonable price for it.

Coolio,
Go to amazon.com and get your T610 for free (after rebate, with a new T-Mobile agreement). Also, get a bluetooth headset for only $20.
T-Mobile will unklock your phone after 90 days and, if you are persistent, even sooner.
