> Direct Dialing using T610 built-in email client
Bookmark topic
Hi, experts,
I will like to know if it is possible to connect DIRECTLY into the internet ? that is, my ISP provides a number which I dial-in, & then receive & send emails directly thru my ISP's server, using T610's email client. Exactly like a regular dial-up.
It seems that I can only access my email server by going thru' WAP/GPRS first. Im in Singapore, on a Starhub mobile service, but trying to access my Singnet ISP directly by dialing into it. Is that a technical restriction or just my ISP. Thanks in advance.

Let me clarify something: in order to use your email client you need two things: a properly configured email account and a data account. The data may consist either of a CSD/HSCSD or a GPRS connection. In the case of CSD/HSCSD, you actually dial a number to connect to you ISP.
