I was messing around with the hide caller id on my phone and realised that by typing #31# at the start of the number you are calling it would hide your caller id. So i just typed #31# in on its own and then pressed the call button it started to call something and failed.

Then I typed in *#31# and pressed call (send) and it came back with a message like "default name on" then i typed *#30# and pressed call(send) and it came back with the message "service activated".

I have not got a clue what *#30# actually does so i dont advise doing it but i thought some people might want to know about it.

I have a T610 on Orange and these codes might not do anything on other neworks.

Sorry if this has already been covered on Esato its just that it is hard to get search engines to find things with wierd characters.

-T68-, because he messed up the title and created a new one instead of editing the original I guess, which I was replying to but it had already been deleted!

anyway... here is my reply again!

Here is a pretty good page describing most GSM standard codes

@masseur is it too long a list to be cut and pasted so it can be viewed by wap? Would you be so kind and do it if possible. Thanks This message was posted from a T610

I know that this post has nothing with this topic to do, but I don't have internet so I'll just have to ask here. What is HISSING on the T610 series. And what is the difference between flashing and upp grading software on a phone. By the way, what is the difference between software and hardware? Thanx for taking the time. Answers will be very appriciated. Post the answers in PM. Thanx again:-) This message was posted from a T610
